TERE BATISTA has built a career out of combining her own creativity and love of music with legal and business affairs savvy. In addition to being an artist manager and entertainment business consultant since 2007, she is also an entertainment attorney. From 1995 to 2007 she headed the business and legal affairs departments of Universal Music Latin America (including time with (PolyGram Records which later merged with Universal), first as Vice President and later as Senior Vice President. For a time she also ran the publishing division of PolyGram Latin America. Prior to that she worked as an attorney with BMI in New York. Tere received her undergraduate degree, cum laude from Princeton University and her Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law
